La familia MGB del módulo SFP Gigabit Ethernet se puede instalar en el Switch PLANET y Convertidores de Medios con interfaz 1000BASE-SX / LX / BX SFP. La distancia de alcanze se puede extender desde 550m (Multi-Mode, LC) hasta 120 kilómetros (monomodo, LC) dependiendo del tranceptor.
Los transceptores SFP son hot-pluggable and hot-swappable (conexión rapida/ intercambio activo. Puede conectar y sacar los transceptores a / desde cualquier puerto SFP sin tener que apagar el Switch / Convertidor de Medios.
